Our new review, “Mechanisms of neuropeptide-mediated immune sensing in the modulation of antitumor immunity”, is now published in the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer (JITC).

It looks at how neuropeptides in the tumor microenvironment, such as CGRP, VIP, NPY, NMU and substance P, act on immune cells. Depending on the setting, they can drive T cell exhaustion, limit cytotoxicity, push macrophages toward M2 polarization or change immune cell migration. Understanding this neuro-immune crosstalk could help identify new targets to improve cancer immunotherapy.

Congratulations to Benedetta Fiordi and Janaina da Silva Vieira!
